Health Savings Account (HSA)
A special account which enables you to pay for current health expenses and save for future qualified medical and retiree health expenses on a tax-free basis.† You must be covered by a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) to be able to take advantage of HSAs. Government contribution and withdrawal limits apply. For more information on HSAs, visit the U.S. Treasury website.* Customers who have a savings or money market account can only have up to six preauthorized or automatic withdrawals or telephonic agreements or transfers to another account at the same bank or to a third party during a calendar month or a statement cycle (at least four weeks). However, withdrawals can be unlimited if the customer makes withdrawals or transfers in person, at an ATM, by mail, or by telephone with the check mailed to the depositor.
